MISS PIGGY: Vous-hoo! Ahem! . . . Vous-hoo! ARI: Hey! Isn't that... ALLISON: Miss Piggy! PIGGY: Quelle small world, as moi likes to say! What brings you two to Central Park? ARI: Kate & Allie films a few blocks away. We're on a break, so we decided to jog in the park. PIGGY: Incrediblement! Moi is so often recognized by fans, but this time moi recognizes my fans too! ALLISON: Aren't you afraid of being mobbed by devoted followers, Miss Piggy? PIGGY: Well, yes, especially when I'm wearing my "Yes, I am Miss Piggy" T-shirt. But people are so kind they even pretend they don't know who I am! ARI: Impossible! ALLISON: I'm sure it's more of a problem for you Miss Piggy. but fans do come up to Ari and me. Usually it's fun, but sometimes they treat us like Jenny and Emma from the show. And we're really Allison and Ari. ARI: But it is nice to know that people like what we're doing. PIGGY: Certainment! Kate & Allie has been one of moi's favorite shows for the past three years! ARI: I think it's a good show that deals with real situations. People like it because it's about a family that's a little different, yet has the same problems as any other family. ALLISON: Our TV moms started sharing a home. Kate and Emma are played by Susan Saint James and Ari, and Allie and her two kids are played by Jane Curtin, Frederick Kochler, and me. We sort of fell in together as a temporary living arrangement when the show started. Now we've shown that a family can be any group of people who care about and support each other. PIGGY: Moi loves to watch all of you. Jenny and Emma have so many of the little problems moi had as a stunning young piglet. And Kate and Allie get into as much trouble as vous do! ALLISON: At first our characters reflected the difference between our mothers, Kate and Allie. Ari was a city kid and I played a "preppie" from the suburbs. But that's changing; because Jenny and Emma are together so much that they're becoming more alike. They get along really well, like sisters only better! ARI: Just like Allison and Me! I don't have any brothers or sisters in real life, but being around Allison is like having a sister. PIGGY: So vous are friends off the set, too. ARI: Yes, we try to see each other, but it's a little hard. Because after four days of rehearsal and taping all we want to do is sleep! PIGGY: It sounds tres exhausting, just like this jog. How do vous get up the energy for parties, and romancing frogs? ALLISON: When l've been working for hours it's enough to just sit around talking with my friends and my boyfriend, Brian -- who isn't a frog, by the way. PIGGY: Well, speaking of sitting, why don't we rest on that bench over there and have a teensy apres-jog snack. Isn't the park tres green and gold today? Moi so enjoys it when you film your show in the park. ARI: We love shooting in New York. It means I get to live in the city where I've always lived, and to go to the same school with my friends. ALLISON: And I'm able to live in New Jersey. It lets me get away from all the show business stuff here. But I really like coming into the city to film -- or jog. ARI: How long have you been jogging today, Miss Piggy!! PIGGY: Oh, about 45 seconds. That's really all I need to help keep moi's girlish figure. How noi must suffer for beauty. ALLISON: Um, sure sounds tiring. Maybe you should try riding a bike instead. That's one of my favorite ways to keep fit. Ari likes doing aerobics and using body-building machines. PIGGY: How odd! Moi didn't know you could have bodies built for you. ARI: No, Miss Piggy. They're machines you can do exercises on that help you "build" your strength. I exercise every morning and . . . Oh, my! You call all that a tiny snack?! PIGGY: Why of course. Just a teensy nibble to keep up my strength. Would vous care for a sweet? They're imported from Paris just por moi! ARI: Believe it or not, Miss Piggy, I don't like sweets. PIGGY: Eeek! ALLISON: I like chocolates, but eating a pound of them after I've jogged is not going to help me keep fit. Why don't you try some of our fruit? PIGGY: Hmmm. I'd love to but it is exactly noon and moi must meet Kermie for lunch. ARI: I thought that was your lunch? PIGGY: Certainment not! Why, this is simply an hors d'ouvre,, a mid-morning snack, a brunchette, a... ALLISON: Okay, okay! But maybe you'd better jog back. Just to work up an appetite. And we've got to get back to the set, so we'd better get going too. ARI: Yes, we'll jog along with you, Miss Piggy. How far do you have to go? PIGGY: Oh, just past that tree there, my driver is waiting. ARI: You mean you just jog from the car to this bench? PIGGY: Of course! Moi must suffer for beauty, but moi isn't crazy. Let's go. ARI & ALLISON: Oh, Miss Piggy!
