With a name like Ariadne, you know right away that "Ari" Meyers isn't your average teenage actress! And her extraordinary talent is what won her a part in the hit TV Series, "Kate & Allie," in which Ari plays Susan "Kate" St. James' daughter.

Ari inherited her acting ability from her singer/actress mom, Taro, who played Melissa Needham in the daytime drama "Another World." Both mother and daughter seem to be unaffected by the glamour and glitter of Hollywood. Ari says she lovees to act for the sake of acting, and that she'd also like to be an actress for as long as possible!

Ari gets a lot of inspiration from her mom, and appreciates the interest her mom takes in her. "She's proud of me, and loves to watch me when I'm in front of the cameras," says Ari. On and off the show, Ari is responsinle and well-mannered. She's not one to get into trouble. Her mom can be strict, but like Ari says, "My mom doesn't have to place a lot of restrictions on me. We treat each other with respect."

Of course, there are always those things that drive you crazy about your mom. "No matter where we are -- in an elevator or at home -- my mom always sings!" Ari complains.
